| The Zeta Delta Sigma Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Inc. was chartered by Soror Quindonell Stinson Robertson (Past SW Region Syntaktes). She also introduced the poodle as our sorority mascot. In 1982 Soror Robertson felt a need arising for the chartering of a chapter that would fit the needs of a growing number of sorors in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex. So Soror Robertson went to work contacting sorors to research how this could become a reality. Much planning and several meetings later, all was ready for the chartering ceremony. On June 26, 1982 in Arlington, Texas, Soror Ruby Summers, SW Region Syntaktes officiated at the chartering ceremony of the Zeta Delta Sigma chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. Charter members are: Soror Helen Bell Witnessing the chartering were Sorors Emma Kate Hall, Hazel Webster (Past Syntaktes), Dorothy Faye Feltus, and Consuella Parker. The Zeta Delta Sigma Chapter advises one undergraduate chapter and regional undergraduates: Nu Iota Chapter at the University of Texas in Arlington, Texas. |
